Sidekicks & Stoolz is a new expression of faith helping people encounter God through culture, conversation, and community. We exist for the overlooked, the questioning, the spiritually exhausted, and the quietly hopeful. For those who want to love God but feel out of place. For those rediscovering faith through honesty, creativity, and community.
Our Story
Five years ago on Easter Sunday, something started in a backyard with no building, no budget, and no blueprint. This didn't start with a plan. It started with a decision.After 28 years inside a church structure, serving, leading, and building, there came a moment when the structure no longer fit. Not the faith. Not the calling. Just the structure.A journey began that none of us could have mapped out in advance. It started with hurt and five years of God doing what only God can do. We stepped out and tried to build something. The timing wasn’t right. My heart wasn’t ready, and we went back inside. But God wasn’t done. And what you’ll find here is evidence of that, through conversations, teachings, reflections, and honest moments.
Gatherings
We gather because community was never meant to be consumed online. real conversations. real people. real life. gatherings are intimate and intentional, the kind of room where you can exhale. We get together in kitchens, backyards, community spaces, restaurants, and online. The location changes, but the intention stays the same.
